My husband and I have always loved the Red Hook Deli for morning coffee and the fabulous baked goods they always had in the deli section. On our last visit, the baked goods seemed to have vanished and the coffee is no longer as good. We are arriving Friday and staying at the Point Pleasant resort and LOVE having morning coffee and NOT making it ourselves. Can anyone recommend a place to get coffee and hopefully that fabulous Banana bread?

Try Lattes on the deck at American Yacht harbor -- great coffee - view - wifi - some pastries. You will love it.
Or try Picassa - on Smith Bay road - I have never stopped.
By Red Hook Deli do you mean Marina Market?? The only other last real deli operation was Grateful Deli- they moved to STJ.

Marcy:

Why would you ever want to leave your Point Pleasant balcony in the morning?

We just sit on the balcony, with our coffee, enjoying the view!!!!!

I'll second Picasso's, excellent coffee, homemade quiches that are delicious. A very nice young couple trying to make a go of it on ilsand and have been succeeding very well because of quality and service. If you do stop in the morning, you will find many helpful locals that will give you many inside tips of what to do on the island.

Yes, I agree.....Picaso's does make excellent coffee & pastries....besides the couple is from "Point Pleasant" (really) New Jersey so it has to be good (lol). Picaso's also offers free wifi......

How about this........buy your coffee at Picaso's and bring it back to your balcony at the Point Pleasant Resort.....

Lattes in Paradise, at the American Yacht Harbor, is also very good......

FI and others...

We took your advice this morning and picked up some yummy Banana Nut muffins and coffee at Picasso's and brought them up to our balcony at the top of the hill!! VERY top that is!!

Eating muffins now and heading to the upper pool shortly!

Suggest you not post your unit in a public forum - security - maybe a PM

We stayed in Point Pleasant and discovered that they have a wonderful shuttle service that will take you to Picaso's Coffee Bar in the morning. They have a great shuttle driver named Will who really took care of us! So we treated him to a Strawberry Smoothie from Picaso's each morning!!

Its a great way to start your morning they have such a wonderful staff!
