Is Miss Lucy still around on these boards?

We're having a hard time finding a place to stay in St Thomas next May.

We'd (husband, myself and daughter) would love to stay at the Sea Star Villa in Cabria Point, but friends and family think it's too expensive. It's expensive, but they never go anywhere and I just thought that it would be a great place for all of us.

Now I'm thinking that if we could swing 2 condos at Sapphire Beach, one being Miss Lucy's, that it may work.

I need help people...where do I put 8 adults, near the East End that doesn't cost close too $7,000 a week???

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We definetly need 4 bedrooms because we don't want anybody sleeping on a pull out.

Hello Connie,

Are you refering to Lucy's Jewel at Sapphire Village? The website is http://www.st-thomas-condo.com. I don't know if its two bedroom... I think one and one queen size sofa bed. Also take a look at http://www.condodelmar.com and http://www.vacationrentalstthomas.com; which are also at Sapphire Village.

I was referring to Lucy's Jewel.

Thanks for the information...this setting up another trip is driving me crazy since 6 other people are involved...but it'll work out.

We just got back last night from our 9 day stay in STT/STJ and we spent a night at one of the CondodelMar units before going to STJ for the rest of our vacation. We stayed in Ocean Breeze which is in the Saba building and we would definitely stay there again in the future (although we fell in love with STJ so any future stays in STT will probably be limited!!). It's a studio so there's a full size bed and a pull out sofabed, it was neat and clean and the view was great with just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the boats come in and out of the marina. Rita was teriffic to deal with and I would absolutely recommend Ocean Breeze to anyone looking for reasonably priced accomodations on STT. We spent our first night at Secret Harbour and it was very nice but we were very content with Ocean Breeze and would choose it over SH in the future (we would rather spend the extra $$ on our accomodations on STJ). We also found the snorkeling to be better at Sapphire Beach than at SH. IMO the water was clearer with more variety of fish. We saw a barracuda at Sapphire that we guessed was around 5 feet long...one of the highlights of our snorkeling experiences during our vacation!!

Connie, I know Ocean Breeze may not be exactly what you're looking for since you don't want pull out beds but with some of the recent negative reviews about Sapphire Village I wanted to give CondodelMar a positive plug in case someone else on this forum is considering Sapphire Village.

Hello Connie,

I am the owner of Lucy's Jewel. Ours is a large studio that can sleep 3 adults comfortably. However, when we need to accommodate large groups, we partner with other unit owners at Sapphire Village, including Rita (CondodelMar). At SV the units are either studios or 1-BRs. The 1-BRs can sleep 4, but 2 would have to use a pull-out (or like the unit next to us, they also have a queen air bed).

I'm sure we can accommodate 8 people for much less than $7,000.00 and most likely we can get everyone in the same building. Also, all of the owners we partner with have up-to-date units. Our contact information is on the web site. Let me know if you have any questions. Regards.
