We are going to St Thomas next fall and I am wondering about Metal detecting. I would like to detect Beaches and also do some land hunting. What are the laws? Anything I need to be aware of?
Any locals out there want to show us around?
Thank you

Been wanting to do just that for a long time. There are not any laws I can find. Would love to show you around and see if the metal detector is something I want to invest in (I mean more how often do I want my husband to drag me out detecting not the price). Email me - [email protected].

There is a sign at Magens that lists what is not allowed over there and metal detecting is one of them. Although I have seen people do it on several occassions after 5 pm.
