I thought that instead of buying the leftovers that are on sale in our department stores now, I would wait and buy some tropical clothing in St. Thomas on the day before our sailing.
WHat is a good downtown Charlotte Amalie store for men's clothing? I am interested in lightweight pants and shorts, a bathing suit or two, and some short sleeve shirts. Nothing to wild - I am more into the subdued tones and patterns.
Thanks in advance!

Ron,
Thanks! I'll check them out. And, we're really looking forward to our brief stay at the Crystal Palace in a few months.

I would strongly suggest you buy your clothes in the states. It will be MUCH cheaper and you will have a better selection than that one store which Ron mentioned, which is basically the only nice store for mens clothes on the whole damn island.
There is a reason why we all spend tons of money shopping when we get off the rock for vacation. Pair of basic non-brand name linen pants for $65 here.... I can buy the same thing at Kohls in the states for $25.
I agree with Local St Thomian. In addition to the price, there are a lot more selection of styles, comfort, attractiveness in the States. Online shopping or local stores, you've got a lot more options and competitive pricing. Now, that's not to say you can't buy MORE in the islands.
