My wife and I decided to rent Memory Daze (windspree.com) over in Coral Bay. It seems like a beautiful villa from the pictures and desciption. We are little concerned about navigating some of the unpaved roads in this area (I believe it is off of King Hill Rd.).

Has any one stayed at Memory Daze and can provide some input on the villa itself of the roads leading up there?

Thanks,
lbrlwyr

I am not totally sure but I think this villa is up a fairly steep hill after you go through Coral Bay. I believe the road up the hill is steep but is paved (actually looked like concrete). Shouldn't be any problem with a jeep. Probably can get there by car but jeeps on STJ are just a lot more fun. I'm sure you have looked at Windspree's web site, looks like a beautiful villa with fantastic views. There are some great beaches that are not heavily populated at that end of the island. Some you would need a jeep to get to comfortably.

If you need a housekeeper, nanny, etc let me know. I can be packed and ready in ten minutes.

My wife informed me yesterday that I was wrong about the location. The villa is off Salt Pond Bay road (107?) and although the hill is a bit steep, you would probably be ok in a car (but a jeep is a lot more fun). Unfortunately, I showed Windspree's pics of the villa to her. She wants to spend two weeks there the next time we go!
I couldn't find any posts on Memory Daze, seems to be fairly new. From the pics of it, I don't think you will regret your decision.
Remember to post a trip report with pics!

We finally got in touch with Windspree and found out it is actually up Rt 108 and is paved up to the last 50 feet. We will still go with the jeep anyway since we like going to the some of the lesser traveled beaches like Little Lameshur which definitely require 4wd.

Still looking for someone who has stayed at Memory Daze though to provide some input....any takers?

Well...we decided to roll the dice and go with Memory Daze for our trip in June. It seems the villa is fairly new which would explain why there was not much feedback on it from other posters. From the pictures though I doubt we will be disappointed: http://www.windspree.com/homes/memorydaze/

I will be sure to post a full review when we get back.

I just got back from a tour of Memory Daze - BEAUTIFUL is all I can say 🙂 and the road is fine but I would still rent a jeep.
