My son wants to know if there's a McDonalds on St. Thomas?
Thanks.

One of the poorest operated with respect to service than any MacDonald's I've ever been in. Not sure how that happens since the company is usually so strict with this issue.

There are three: Frenchtown, Wheatley Plaza (next to the hospital) and Tutu (next to the mall.)

favislandstjohn,

Perhaps you're thinking of "Frenchman's." Frenchtown is between CA and the airport and the McDs is behind the Frenchtown post office.

It's just odd-looking and tiny, if you haven't seen it. It's kinda shaped in like a triangle instead of a rectangular layout.

GAG!! With all the wonderful places on the islands to eat, WHY would you want to eat at McDingles. I don't even eat there when I'm home in the states.

When we were in Aruba with my little boys we took them to McD's b/c it's a treat to them to eat something familiar. Sounds wierd, I know but unless you have little ones (as far as Ive seen, most kids love it), it's hard to understand.

Eating at all the "wonderful places" on the island (although wonderful for me) would have my kids BEGGING for burgers, nuggets and fries at Mcdonalds by the end of the week. Sounds weird and it is weird. What's a sushi lovin girl to do???

Stacey,
I have to agreewith you, but I was kind of forced to have a breakfast at a Micky D's last October on STX. My son, daughter-in-law and I were signed up to kyak on the Salt River early AM. We planned to eat at the marina but it was closed that day for some reason, and we were very hungry. We didn't have time to go somewhere good, so we settled for fast.
The kyak tour was fun, even though I don't usually go for that eco stuff. Our guide was a yong woman from here in CT, just a few miles down the road from home. Small word.

Stacey: You would laugh at the folks from the BVI who come over for doctor's appointments and shopping- they love McDonald's. The grass is always greener...

The McDonald's in Frenchtown is the absolute saddest McDonald's in the world. If you took kids there they'd probably cry.

Raprider,
We took the ecology tour with Caribbean Adventure Tours. They are right in the marina on the Salt River. It was very educational. We saw a lot of things that we would never have noticed on our own. They have a web site, stcroixkayak.com. I wish we were going back soon. I hate the snow here.
