Hi, Wondering what it costs for Hotel guests to rent snorkeling equipment from them and is there an area on the beach where it is worthwhile to snorkel?

THANKS MUCH!

Not much in the way of snorkeling there. Best to rent some gear elsewhere and go to either Sapphire or Secret Harbour or Hull Bay. Aqua Action at Secret Harbor will rent you gear, as will Homer at Hull Bay. For a weekly rental of gear go to Red Hook Dive Center - 340-777- 3483 or online at www.redhookdivecenter.com. Enjoy!

If you want to snorkel DONT do it at Frenchman's.. Go to Sapphire, Secret Harbor, Hull Bay or Cokie.

billd: I am sorry, but why on earth would you tell someone "DON'T" snorkel at the Reef.? In settled conditions, there is fairly interesting stuff along the rocks to the east end of Morningstar. Heck, even the "boring" sandy areas are a stingray and crustacean ecosystem. I don't know if they do it anymore, but they used to run snorkel tours out to Green Cay. If you are staying at a hotel, it is always interesting to go check it out for yourself.

To the OP, go ahead and try. Take your stuff with you to various beaches and look, you might be surprised at what you see.;)
