Frenchman's Reef is a beautiful resort. It has gorgeous grounds. Several nice restaurants and bars. The rooms are lovely, and the ones with ocean views are great. The gift shop is a little pricy, so if you want to buy things like water, postcards you might want to do this in town. The pool is large and great. There is a swim up bar at the pool which is nice. Easy access to Morningstar beach which is nice for walking, swimming, sunning. There is a tennis court on the grounds. The little bar called Coco Joes on Morningstar is fun - the DJ is friendly and is usually willing to play the music you want to hear - so if you like to dance thats a good place, they also have pool tables and the like. The resort is close to shopping but if you want to go to other beaches and around the island you will need to rent a car or take taxis, Frenchmans is really on the tip of one side of the island - so it has a lovely location but is a distance from other attractions. It is a great choice.

The grounds are beautiful, but I disagree that the rooms are nice. They look like any other typical Marriott around the world--ugly print bedspreads, ugly furniture, small room and small bathroom. The views can be stunning and there's lots to do on premises. For my money, though, I'd rather stay someplace more charming, somewhere with a little more character.
