We are staying at Frenchmans Reef, Marriott and are planning on taking a taxi there from the airport, but we would like to stop on the way to pick up some provisions. Where would be a place to go where we could get wine, beer, minor food items...and it would be sorta on the way to the hotel,?
The K-Mart in town has good prices on Liquor and also has small food items
Gourmet Gallery is right on the way to the Reef. It is an upscale convenience store (read pricy), but will have the things you need. Make sure you tell the dispatcher at the airport about your need to stop, because the others in the van may not be happy about their vacation being delayed.
Yes, I will tell them. There are 5 of us, so I'm figuring we'll have a cab of our own.

Most of the cabs/vans hold many more than 5 and will try to fill up.
How much should we (4 people) expect to pay for a cab ride?
