*what are the dockage rates in St. Thomas/St. Croix for liveaboard? Is there a flat fee or they charge by length of vessel? My husband and I have a 53 foot vessel looking to relocate.
They usually charge by the foot, and I don't know the per foot fee myself, but I do know that my mother-in-law lives on a 36' sailboat, and she decided that mooring it was better for her. Are you looking for electricity, water, cable, etc., or just a place to tie up? I'll bet Pamela will be able to answer your questions. Pamela?
Hello Cherie,
There is a section on marinas on this site; click this link https://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/more_info/marinas/. You will need to call each marina for their dockage rates.
There was a discussion on this a few months ago and here is some info. that was mentioned:
Marinas to live aboard (beginning at the most expensive) are Crown Bay Marina, American Yacht Harbor, Compass Point (Boaters Haven), Independent Boatyard, Lavida Marina and, next year, Vessup Point.
Examples of prices given were: $13/ft at La Vida Marina. Compass Point $15 per foot.
You may find some of the marinas have waiting lists; best bet is to call each marina and get prices and details.

Sorry, guys, with the next boat show only about 45 days away, I am a bit distracted and don't have as much time to "play". Islander's answer is on the money ....in STX the least expensive is Green Cay Marina. Moorings can be obtained to live on the hook. Email me at [email protected] to get my attention.
