Hi everyone,

were trying to figure out where to stay when we get to st. john in November. were looking at the maho camps for 3 nights before we get our house and 3 nights after we leave our house...in our party, we have 5 people 4 adults and one 12 year old child. what would you recommend on our stay with maho? I'm confused with the accommodations when i go to there website. has anyone stayed here and what is your advise?

I'd go with Concordia Eco-tents. They have everything you need there and views are great, very relaxing...I think it'll do the trick nicely for you... http://www.wheretostay.com/caribbean/us_virgin_islands/property-274-reviews-Concordia_EcoTents.html

We stayed there in 2004, trip report is at http://www.garvin.us/STJ/Trip_Reports/2004-Maho_Bay_Campground/St_John_Trip_Report_2004_Maho_Bay_Campground.html

Concordia is certainly better than Maho, from my perspective. One thing to consider is that you'll need to Maho units for 5 people, it was tight with 2 adults and 2 kids. There were a lot of complaints from my 3 ladies about the hike to the toilet. But, Maho is beautiful and you have three beaches walkable plus Leinster a long flat walk.

Cheers, RickG
