Hi!!
I'm doing the Maho Bay work program this summer. I've been to St. John a few times in the past, and love the USVI & BVI tremendously! Does anyone have any tips/advice for someone that will be living in paradise for over a month this summer? What should I pack that is much cheaper on the mainland, other than sunblock & bug spray? What are the best Wi-fi spots? Who should be my bartender for that month? =-) Thanks in advance, folks!

I went through the 4-hour program back in 2006. I would suggest brining any clothes that you think you would need, it's sort of tough finding places that sell clothes on the island besides the touristy type places. Back in 2006 it was actually easier to find wi-fi and high speed internet in Coral Bay than it was in Cruz Bay. When are you going to be down there? I'll be there the last two weeks of June.
As for applying to the 4-hour program, it's important to get your application in early. For the first few weeks, not a lot of applications come in, so any early applications normally get some level of review. By the end of the application period, there's normally so many applications are coming in that many of them are not even read.
