My husband & I are planning a weeks vacation in May and will be staying at a time-share called "Magens Bay Villas Club at Magens", Magens Bay Rd.. It has the same phone # as another time-share called "Tropic Leisure Club at Magens Point Resort". I assume they are 2 different sections of the same resort. Is anyone familiar with Magens Bay Villas Club? I am hoping these are nice accommodations.

Thank you in advance.

I was the sales manager there until a month ago. You are right, they are 2 clubs on the same property and they are building a third (although it is only a hole in the ground at this point). MBVC is MUCH nicer than TLC, as they are one and 2 bedroom units vs. a converted hotel room. Great view. Awesome restaurant. Used to have good ativities, but, since I left, so has Barbara, the Activities Director, and I don't know who's doing that now. I'm sure that they still offer the "Welcome to St. Thomas" island tour & sail for $50, and that inclueds everything...eat ,drink, snorkel, sail...great deal for $50. You can walk to Magens Beach from the resort or take the free shuttle. The Udder Delight Ice Cream shop next door has THE BEST milkshakes on the planet! They all have liquor in them (not enought to get you drunk, just enough for flavor)! I am unhappy with the resort's owner's, but that shouldn't affect your vacation. It is an older resort, so don't be surprised when it looks a little run down. Basically, you are only going to sleep and eat there, anyway! There's so much to see and do here!

Have fun!!! :^)

Thanks, Marty for taking the time to answer. Doesn't sound bad at all. Now all I have to do is play the waiting game. 6 months is a long time. But reading this board during that time will give me the info I need to plan an enjoyable vacation. Thanks again.
