We are staying on St John , and on departure, will take the ferry back to St Thomas, then to the airport.
I was thinking of spending a few hours downtown prior to going to the airport. Does anyone know if there is a place to leave my luggage while I shop and have a cold one?
I think I recall reading here that there are luggage lockers at the Ferry Terminal in Charlotte Amalie.
Also, right across the street, to the West, from Vendor's Plaza, there is/was a tourism place that would store luggage. I dunno if they still do, but they did when I was working in the Information Booth last year. When you get off the ferry, just ask someone at the terminial, or one of the employees on the ferry if it doesn't pull into the terminal, and one of them will know where you can leave your things. Or, worst case, you can go in front of the Post Office on Main Street, talk to the OPC and go up to listen to the schpiel for TCI for an hour and they will hold your stuff there when you are done.
Hi Marty. What is OPC?
OPC is "Off Property Contact". Those are the people that work for the timeshare resorts as the kidnappers that offer you gifts to come up to the resort and listen to the timeshare schpiel. They hang out right across the street from Vendors Plaza....at least for now they do. I guess that may change soon, as the rules for Barkers may change, according to the Daily News...
on the ferry you will be met by many taxi vans. There will be others on the ferry that want to do exactly what you want to do. There is one of the taxis that will hold your luggage and return in time to take you to the airport. We do it all the time. And when the tax says to meet you at 1.00. Be there cuz he will.

That's a very interesting tip. I hadn't seen that on here before!
Thanks -I knew there had to be some way to make that work.
I do have some cards from some taxi drivers that I trust-I think I'll get them a call.
I had also thought about the Holiday Inn Lobby.
I'll check out the terminal too. I never heard of luggage lockers.
41 days and counting.

Not necessary to make special arrangements. They all can be trusted.
