My wife and I would like to rent a charter (such as, Island Roots) for a day and go over to the BVIs from St. John, but the price for just the two of us is a little steep! If anyone is interested in splitting the charges, I think it would be much more fun then going over in one of the larger boats...
Here is the excerpt from the folks at Island Roots:
BVI Escape Tour
'Enhance your St. John vacation with a day trip to the incomparable British Virgin Islands. Departing from St. John,
we clear Customs at legendary Sopers Hole. After this brief official stop on Tortola’s quaint West End, begin your
island adventure. Dive into the crystalline waters of The Indians for premiere snorkeling. Then consider exploring
the remarkable Caves on Norman Island. How about lunch at the Willie T or Cooper Island Yacht Club? We can explore
the secluded snorkels of Peter and Salt Islands. Or let’s circle back towards Jost van Dyke. Snorkel Sandy Cay and
catch a glimpse of the amazing kite boarders. Duck into Foxy’s for a cool beer and come away with an island T-shirt.
Around the point at White Bay, chill out at Ivan’s Stress-free Bar or grab a pain killer at the Soggy Dollar. Baking in
the sun or swinging in a shady hammock, beach watching makes for an afternoon of island relaxation. If you prefer to
stretch your legs, take an eco hike through the salt ponds; then hop over to Foxy’s Taboo for a cool tropical fruity
drink. Sun kissed and island satiated, we return to Customs in Cruz Bay.
