Hello. I am planning a trip to St. John around the 2nd week of Feb with my family and am looking for a house to rent that will accomidate 5 people. Does anyone have any suggestions? or phone numbers of rentals? Also an info on travel deals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Let your fingers do the walking. There are many, many options on this and similar web sites. (none as good as this for local knowledge) You should check out the rental web sites and compare them and then ask questions. Call them up and talk. do not choose the first place that sounds ok. I can't repeat enough.....ask questions. No question is too stupid , no concern is too little. You will be spending a bunch of money. Make sure you have done your "homework" and made the best choice you can. It can be fun just to look and learn...Also check www.usvi_on_line.com

Furthering the thread, you may want to ask about area construction if that might bother you. It could be right next door. I would also ask for a floor plan if the web site does not have one available. We wanted to rent a one-structure property for my husband, my daughter, and me. We couldn't tell on the site that the second bedroom was a separate structure. I would also ask if there are screens especially if you have no or partial a/c.

It is funny though, that not many people write much about their villas afterwards in their descriptions unless there is a major complaint. The villas look so gorgeous. The island itself must be super gorgeous/fabulous!

I have a (first) trip planned in March, so I am like you, only I missed my chance to ask questions.

We have rented villas on St John from Lisa Durgin at Vaction Vistas. Check out her website at http://vacationvistas.com/ for info. Everything was as it appeared and was represented to us by Lisa - no surprises. In fact, everything exceeded our expectaions.
