Hi - I am looking for a man my mom dated about 30 years ago in St. Croix. I'm pretty sure he still lives in the islands because I saw his name in an obituary online.

Can someone please help, is there a white pages or phone directory that would have this person's contact information?

Thanks,
Ingridsdaughter

Hi Ingridsdaughter,

Did you have any luck yet? If not, you can PM me his name and I can try finding him in the local phone book.

Ron,

Maybe I should have read your post a little slower. I thought that maybe she needed someone with a phone book to look it up for her. Duh Molly, now I see the .com at the end.

Me - I was confused about this line:

"I'm pretty sure he still lives in the islands because I saw his name in an obituary online."

*-) If the obituray was about him - I do not think he LIVES in the islands

I got to stop thinking so much

Perhaps his name in an obituary was as a surviving family member.

It can be confusing, TomB. Oldtime local families are very intermingled and obituaries often include scores of names not only of the deceased's numerous relatives but also "special friends" and thus the list can be very long. Many of them, for many different reasons, often make for very interesting reading but that's a whole 'nother angle! Cheers!

I told you... I got to stop thinking...*-)
When I first read it - I thought it was a joke

I live in the rural south and I understand a long obit....
If you do not take up a half of page - you were nobody and have no relatives
so you must be a damn yankee

I will be curious if they chime back in

Okay you guys... I should have been more explicit. I saw his name listed as a survivor in his sister's obit....

His name is Angel Alejandro, I was about 5 when I last saw him. We were all living in St. Croix (Christiansted) at the time.

LOL

Ingrid,, Easy on the " You Guys". Most of us knew what you meant and other(s) maybe were being a little ,mischievous. I did what checking I could and no luck. I'm sure others have tried as well. Can we venture a safe guess that he's about 55 or so? Good luck,
