I will be visiting St. T in early January. I want to get in touch with my brother who has lived on the USVI for several years. He goes by the name of Rabbi and lives on a boat called Dancer. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might start my search for him. In the past, he has lived in the Red Hook area.

I will be over in Red Hook later on this afternoon, and I'll be happy to check and see if DANCER is moored there for you.

Stay tuned for more info and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Have a safe trip down.

Diana,
If you don't find him before you go then check in at happy hour at Molly Malones and Lattitude 18 both places were sailors will hang out. Don't hesitate to ask the bartender or a boater or two at the bar if the know him its a small island and Red Hook is a small town.

If you have no luck on STT, try calling Connections on STJ. If he has moved over to STJ with the boat, the ladies there will know him.

Thanks for all your responses so far. They are helpful. I have been to Lattitude 18 when I visited with him several years ago. That was going to be my first stop in my search. Someone here suggested checking in with Customs as he may have passed through on his travels. Again, thanks for your help. I'll keep an eye on this forum until I leave for St. Thomas on the 8th.

Diana,
I tried to send you a pm or an email and it won't work. PM me and I will give you the cell phone number of some friends that live on their boat in Red Hook and I am sure if your brother is still there they can help you.

Hi, I think is this a "pm". Not sure of the jargon, but hope this is right.

I really appreciate your help with this search for my brother.

PM stands for "private message" click on Captain Jay's name (highlighted in blue) that takes you to his profile. Then look (lower left) for the "send a private message" link.

Hi. Just wanted to give you an update. I found my brother. He's living in St. Marten -- Simpson Bay. The advise to check out Molly Molone's was very helpful. I not only found people who knew him, I also found a great place to hang out. Anyway, my brother heard through the grapevine that I was looking for him and he called me! So we had a nice chat (I didn't go down to St. Marten -- stayed in St. Thomas) and I now have his cell phone number.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice and who asked around for me. It really helped and was much appreciated.
