Lok into Sapphire Beach Resort, they may have a main restaurant for sale.
I don't think that there is a beach bar or restaurant that the owner wouldn't sell tomorrow given the right offer. Pick one you like and hang out for a few weeks to get a better idea of the operation and worth. The research will be fun in any event.
An old adage here though: How do you leave the VI with a million Dollars? Come with 2 Million.
Exit Zero is correct. At least on STX, EVERY beach bar is for sale.
email me with your qualifications and level of interest.

Hey mike270! Good luck to you, if you find one, and need any help, I've been bartending here in Jersey for @ 17 yrs, and am obsessed with the VI's. I just got back from a weeks stay on STJ, and already miss it immensely . I know it's a slow process, but let me know!

Overlooking the beach in Cruz Bay, S. John, the Stone Terrace Restaurant is for sale.
I realize that this posting is quite old, but is this beach bar/restaurant still for sale? If so, where exactly is it located and what is the asking price? Is the bar owned by locals or foreign owned?
Ah, the stateside dream of owning and operating a beachfront bar in the American Paradise!
Between 2008 (your date point where this thread is concerned) and now, most restaurants/bars have changed hands and changed names so fast it would take a total math wizard to figure it all out. Prior to 2008, multiply that exponentially.
Best you do some serious research and a pre move visit before even contemplating such a venture. There certainly are a few venues which have been around for a relatively long time but, with all due respect, the average newbie business owner in this field soon folds.
My advice remains the same - years later.
I read that molly malone's on STT is for sale, although not a beach bar.
The Banana Tree Grill is for sale, not a beach bar but a fabulous view!
I guess the thing to remember is
EVERYTHING IS FOR SALE. How much do you want to pay?
