Hi all! Happy new year!

I'm scheduling our fall trip and we're looking to rent a condo/villa this year instead of the standard hotel deal. There will be 3 adults going so we'd prefer either a 1 br with pullout or a 2 bedroom. We're looking for something beachfront, for about 1300 for the week total including any cleaning fees/taxes, etc.

We're coming from NJ and this will be our 4th trip to St. Thomas, we have always stayed at bolongo bay and would love to stay at the condos there, but we're pretty much open on location...as long as we're on the beach!

If you have a rental and you have that week open (we got a good deal on airfare out of newark that week, 318 round trip!) so the dates are firm, but we're open on where to stay!

Thanks alot!!

Hi suzyabbott,

$1,300 a week might be a little under budget, especially for beachfront. Your best bet would be to try vrbo.com, you may get lucky and find exactly what you are looking for within your budget. There is a wealth of information on this board from full time residents to well seasoned travelers. So if you have any questions about a particular property, chances are someone knows about the place or has stayed there and will give you their review.

Good Luck!

Molly

For $1440 you can get a one-bedroom unit at Bluebeards Beach Club, right on the beach, offered by the Homeowners' Association. There are studios and loft studios also available just about any week of the year.

Here's the description in the ad placed on http://www.myresortnetwork.com/Condo-Rentals/St-Thomas/Caribbean/Bluebeards-Beach-Club-and-Villas/ :

Very private & secluded, the #1 place for relaxing. All units have views, no unit more than a half minute walk to the beach. Weeks are $1200/studio, $1304/loft and $1444/one-bedroom. Total prices, all fees, taxes & energy surcharge included. Nearly every week available, individual nights also. Non-refundable rental fee is due in advance. See bluebeards-beachclub.com/index.htm for resort details

The cost is above $1300, but be sure if you do get anything for that price it included taxes, fees etc., which can really add up.

I'm with Molly on this one in suggesting to check out www.vrbo.com for a rental at Sapphire or Crystal Cove which are both located on beautiful Sapphire Beach. Cheers!

Hello Suzy,

Check out the St. Thomas Accommodations page on this site. There are several rentals on there at Sapphire that might fit your budget. When looking keep in mind that properties by Sapphire Beach include beachfront, some just off the beach and also condos on the hillside a short walk from the beach.
