Lavender Hills - we stayed on the top floor and it was really nice. Pool is good and you have a good view of St Thomas and the bay. No beach but you can drive to one. Easy walk in to town for the shops and restaurants so you don't have to mess with parking. The Westin is also very nice with a beautiful beach even if it is manmade. They have a lot of room options that would fit your $. It is a little to far out to walk to town but there are cabs everywhere. You are going to want to venture out and go to different beaches anyway as they are all beautiful and the drive is amazing not to mention snorkeling and sailing...Have stayed in other villas that were great but can't say the pools were anything special.
