Hi everyone

I was in St Thomas end of last year, and left in a rush in January to go to Haiti. The trip being unexpected, I left all of my things on a friend's boat, anchored in STT (in Yacht Haven Grande marina). I was meant to return to pick them up, unluckily, things happened differently and I ended up in Guadeloupe right after Haiti, without getting the chance to pick up my stuffs.

The "stuff" includes 2 surfboards and 2 bags with personal belongings (essentially clothes, painting gear, sport equipments).

I've tried to ship the lot, but the fees are simply ridiculous (I might as well buy all new stuffs!). There's basically my life on my friend's boat (my toys, my clothes, my paperwork) : I am desperate to find a boat heading my way that would agree on bringing my things over.

I fully understand the issue with carrying a stranger's bag so I would have no problem with the owner of the boat checking my bag content if he was kind enough to bring them over.

I am in Guadeloupe but if the bags could make it to St Maarten (I have close friends there who could pick them up for me) that would already be awesome....

Please, if you're heading to the FWI's or know anyone who will, get in touch.

Cheers

Emilie

Emilie,

Lots of people heading that way in a month or so. Try contacting VICL - [email protected] and ask them. Offer to pay a few $$$ for the trouble and you might get lucky. Sorry we are heading the opposite direction this year.

With Antigua Classics and then Race week coming very soon there should be quite a few STT boats heading down.
