Hi -

I've only been to STT on cruise visits, and visited Magens Bay & Charlotte Amalie. This summer six friends are looking for a comfortable, spacious villa - not too expensive - within walking distance of a lovely, calm beach for swimming. If I can dream of getting everything that I want , the villa will have stunning sea views, a large patio, and situated in lush surroundings 0perhaps near the ferrys).

Heartfelt thanks for any suggestions!!

😎

Pebble Cove out East End has a great setting with a private rocky beach. Its very calm and the snorkeling, swimming and kayaking there are great.

Cheers, RickG

Pineapple Village is a short walk to Pineapple beach, about a five minute walk to Coki, and about a 3-5 minute drive to Redhook. We are renovating our unit so we are not marketing it yet, but you can find other units for rent at vrbo.com. You can rent the entire 3 bed 4 bath villa or individual rooms. Each bedroom has a private entrance through their private garden patio. The only drawback is their is no ocean views, very close to the ocean though. The grounds are kept beautifully and their is a swimming pool available for guests use.

The hotel next to Pineapple is still closed and is awaiting proper permits before the Wynham can begin their renovations. I find it very peaceful at our villa, but am also looking forward to all the extra ammenities that will be available when the new Wyndham time share is complete.

Fl Barrier Islander,

I don't mean to take anything away from my neighbors, but I thought I'd comment on what a great place you have. The pictures on your website look beautiful, and the rates were quite surprisingly reasonable. I'll be back in May, maybe I'll check it out myself.

Hello sankofatravler,

Since Molly so eloquently described Pineapple Village already. . . I will only add that our condo is available for rent with rates as low as $135 per room / per night. Check out our website for accomodations: www.hideaway-villa.com

IAMolly, thanks for the complement. We bought the property in Nov/2003 from an elderly couple. We liked the house especially because It's a "split" floor plan. There's 2 bedrooms/1 bath on the south side of the house, 2 bedrooms/1 bath on the north side and the great room (Kitchen, dining, living area) in-between. We've worked really hard getting everything updated and making improvements. Nov. & Dec. 2007 installed new doors, windows, stove, freezer, window treatments, ceiling fans, light fixtures, lamps, stainless steel grill, 52" HD TV, kitchen cabinets, silestone countertops, ...........and more. It was a lot of hard work but we've had a really busy rental season so far and the positive feedback from guests have made our blood, sweat and tears a distant memory. The house interior and exterior looks even better with all those improvements but unfortunately we were racing to catch the ferry back to get to the airport and ran out of time to take pictures so our website pics are not current. Have to get new pics and web site updated on our next stay. We also make available a 4x4 Nissan Crew Cab truck with 'safari' in the back for no additional charge - transportation on Water Island only.

When are you coming in May? We'll be there May 13 thru June 2.....more home improvement projects. If it works with our schedules, I'd be happy to show you around. Send a PM.

They are the holders of the calenders and have MANY options for you!
Try:
Blue Serenity, One Beach Rd., 2 villas right on the beach! There are many other villas to choose from that are close to beach's and close access! This company is very reputable!

Sankofatravler, just wanted to make sure that I didn't mislead you on the logistics of getting to the Water Island beaches from Flamingo Point Estate. You CAN walk to/from the beach.....I sometimes do the walk to Honeymoon Beach for exercise.....but between the house and the beach there are "suzanne somer thighmaster" hills. If you're carrying beach chairs, cooler, beach bag, swim toys, towels.......you're going to want to take the truck. Water Island is smaller island than STT or STJ so it only takes minutes to get to/from just about any destination on WI.

Hello COmpadres-

Please be updated on trip progress 🙂

I'm favoring staying on the westside , where we can watch the sunsets and i'm hoping hang out at Linquist Beach. It seems a lovely beach with clear water - that deepen gradually. This is GOOD for me - not the swimmer at all. Also Little Magens Bay looks just superific......deeper water of course.

Is Lindquist beach actually reef protected????

Thanks,
ST-
