I just wanted someone to give me some feedback on the weather. Does it always rain this time of year. If it does is it just showers? Will be still be able to enjoy the beach. Is it cloudy like the forcast says or is it sunny. I will be in St. John on Monday 17 of Oct. Please inform.

Thanks.

We don't really have a rainy "season" here, although it does rain more in some months than others. Might be a little breezy at that time, but it looks like it'll be OK:

That's why i changed my vacation to December. It's not to say that it won't rain in December because it will but not as much as October and November.

We've been going to St. Thomas every year since 1998 in either, Sept., Oct. or, Nov. I've checked all of the weather sites, Weather Channel...Wunderground...Intellicast...you name it, they all take a very general look at a region, no one can predict 100% untill that moment.

We've had sunshine, we've had rain on and off, we even got hit by hurricane Hugo in '89, but still had a great time on STT.

We go by the rule of thumb, if it's sunny go out, shopping, to the beach, hiking, sight seeing, et., if it's raining...find a fun bar to hang out in for a while till the rain passes, and it WILL 🙂

19 Days to go!!!!

While there are more rainy day in certain months there is no way to guarantee you won't get rain on. There are things to do when it rains down there, going shopping, if in the water stay in the water, you are wet anyhow unless it is lightening of course. take a tour. I been there in May where it is sometimes has a little as 1.3 days of rain & it rain on & off the whole 15 days we were there. Been in November & October hardly no rain. As on point I can understand why you change but there is no gurantee that "Mother" nature is going to be good to you. Everytime we go to Walt Disney World in sunny Orlando each December( early) it is cold & I mean cold. I am from Virginia so I am not from Florida. Last time we were there it had wind chills of 20 degrees. So you have to be prepare. I would cancel my trip to Disney or to St Thomas unless a major storm is coming or there & lingering but like I said I understand where you are coming from. Like someone said you take it as it comes & enjoy it. Hope you have a great time in December PS According to my US Virgin Island Alive December has 3.8 days of rain where November has 6.4 days, October 5.6 days but this is only what has happen in the past years. I will be heading down in mid November like last year where I meet up with some island friends & will have fun no matter what the weather may be. And I plan on swimming rain or no rain lol 🙂

I guess we would all ike to have great weather but you could never tell. What i was saying is that there's a much smaller chance to have rain in December than in October & November especially with the downpurs they've been having.
