All of the lodging in hotels I found on the Internet foir St. Thomas is very expensive. Are there less expensive places to stay... say, around $60 per night?

Hi,

$60 may be a bit low but there are options close to that. My recommendation would be to check out Crystal Palace.

I would also suggest you try the Island Beachcomber and Holiday Inn Windward Passage.

I found some great condo's for about $400 - $750 week on "Vacation rentals by owner" on the internet. We stayed in St. Croix overlooking the Beach which was much higher but there are some great places on St. Thomas on the hillside, for a great price.
