I would think they would have to be commercially packaged to stand any chance of clearing customs.

I guess we're pretty spoiled here in Massachusetts. I can't imagine eating frozen lobsters.

I can't figure why anyone would want to take back Caribbean lobster when stateside you have the joy of being able to get Maine lobsters - I miss them SO much!

Flounder,
According to their (US Customs Web Site) Fish, if it is for personal use, is generally admissible. I would call!
US Customs and Border Protection 1-877-CBP-5511.

thanks for the help............I ended up calling customs.........as long as frozen no problem..........bringing back spinney lobsters is a treat for my mom a west coaster now in Colorado .........and I actually prefer the spinney to the east coast lobster a very different meat.......plus as a diver they are free..........and that alone makes them delicious

We passed somebody early in the morning selling lobsters out of his truck near Coki beach. People were buying them up like crazy. Does anybody know what the cost of those lobsters are? Do they sell by the pound or by the lobster?

I saw the movie snakes on a plane, but I have never seen lobsters on a plane. I think it would be the next blockbuster.

I think Lobsters on a Plane will soon be followed by Crabs in the Cockpit.

Hi Flounder. My grandson (16) and I are going to STT and STJ. Do you see many lobsters? All the times I have been in Jamaica I only seen 1. I snorkel not scuba so maybe they are deeper. Just curious if you had luck finding them and bringing them home. Also did you do any fishing?

Love2snorkel......The only time I saw a lobster was on a night snorkel at Secret Harbor. Of course I wasn't hunting them, but at night they are out and about.
