Hi all,

My girlfriend and I will be on St. John from Feb 13-20th. We both like live music (Country, Caribbean, Pop,
Blues) and wanted to know if there was a place to check out some good live music. Good being the key word. Is there an entertainment listing somewhere?

We are staying on the East end of the island, but will be in Cruz Bay a lot of the time in the evenings, so any place in between will be just fine.

Thank you!
=)

There's a great local reggae band---Inner Visions---that plays at Fred's on Wednesday nights whenever they're on the island. It's always a highlight of a trip for us. The Beach Bar has jazz on Sundays in the late afternoon. There are other places in both Coral Bay and Cruz Bay that have music on a less regular basis. Keep an eye out for signs in front of the bars or around town announcing music.

I'm not sure if you are able to give out web sites on this forum. But if you do a google search for "This Week St. Thomas-St. John", there is a company Print 2 Web Corp. that publishes a local monthly Island mag. You have to make sure that you are in January-February 2007 and go to page 20 and 21 and they list what entertainment is playing and where, on what day and what kind of music they play. I am going to St.Thomas on March 3rd and have stumbled on this by mistake (in my obsessed search for Karaoke!) I know, I'm a dork. Anyway they have all sorts of great info on this site. Some of the maps are fuzzy but still good info.

It looks like web sites are aloud, I've seen a few in the last few topics, so here is the address I have for the Mag:

Good luck and give a report on the music when you get back so we know who we can not miss!!!
