Thinking about spending some time in Sept in St. John and was looking into "Moonsong" a villa with Cloud Nine rentals and "Little Whim" with Artistic Villas and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on either property?

vmac,

bride and i stayed a week at moonsong in dec 04 and throughly enjoyed the villa, her views and close in privacy. not luxury but clean, well equipped, good location and has what are obligatory to us: wonderful sunset/st thomas light views and full ac. also short walk down to hart bay and great snorkels and can hear surf from bay on deck. no pool but used the hot tub withheater off as dip pool. good value and will gladly return if only 2 of us, but villa is small for 2 couples. while the bedrooms are on separate floors with own private baths, main level is cozy and except for bar that separates kitchen from den, only dining table is on covered deck, but that's where we did and would have eaten any way, enjoying the views.

we have stayed 4 times with cloud 9 villas, once at moonsong, once at sundance next door and twice at cloud 9 on gifft hill. great manager in marcy appel and owners are usually in residence on stj at one of their villas (other 2 are pebbles at east end and palmello off south shore road) they have responded when we have had needs and marcy was unavailable. point experienced island residents there to hepl if problem arises. we are also always last minute travelers, like their discounts, and assistance in last minute trips.

ps, bride and i are both soc sec eligible and visit stj for beaches, water and views. stj provides the 1st 2 items and moonsong provided a comfortable place to stay with the great views!
