A few years ago when we were in STJ, there was a little shack that sat up the street on the left hand side from the Ferry. The gentleman that ran the shack helped with excursions, rented scuba gear, etc. I had his business card and cannot seem to find it now. Does anyone know this gentlemen's name and his website? We are getting ready to head to STJ in November and I want to use his services again.
Thanks!
Sorry...can't help. I thought you were referring to the delicious lunch spot right there at Miss Shela's. I can still taste that pumpkin and rice and beans!(tu)
I think I know where you are talking about...will try and get that info for you today. Is there something specific you are looking for? There are more than a couple of places like this. Or are you looking for this one specifically?
I was kind of hoping to get in touch with the gentlemen that ran the little shack specifically. He was so helpful on our last visit to the island and even took some pictures of my daughter to add to his website, but never saw if he actually did that. I want to rent some snorkle equipment for the week for starters . . .
I went by today and he was closed. So was another booth, and the person that works there tells me that the charter boats have to wait for a "water conditions" report before they can hit the waters again after hurricane Earl. I will check again tomorrow! Just to confirm, was it a little yellow "shack" across from the Post Office, next to Joe's BBQ?
Mmmm... Julie said Uncle Joe's Bbq.....*-)
Wish I could help.

Mahojim, you're silly! 😛
Ok, the place was open and I went over there yesterday and got a car. The guy's name is Russ, and you can reach him at 800-808-6025 or 340-777-2665. His website is http://www.stjohnconciergeservice.com/
Hope that is who you are looking for! I was going to take a picture for you, but I forgot my camera at home. Russ seems like a nice guy. I never met him before (seen him a million times). When I asked for a card, told him someone was looking for him, he said, "It's not the IRS is it?" Ha ha! (he wasn't serious of course!)
