Since they are building right above little megans does that mean that you can't go to the beach now for au natural tanning ? Have never made the trek over there yet but was just wondering. It looks as tho it would be a hard trek to little megans anyway. Not sure it would be worth the effort. My wife has had 2 blood clots in her right leg thru the years so it is swollen all the time.
Looking to be going back to STT in 2010 for 25th anniversary for a couple of weeks and am planning on renting a private villa for nude sunbathing but like to go to the beach also. Will probably rent fairwinds villa as we have been looking at that one and looks like it will meet our needs for no clothes quite well. We have e-mailed the owner and he seems like a really great guy. Hopefully he still owns it when we decide to go.
First 5 days will have to wear clothes as kids will be with us as we promised them they could come along this time. After that all bets are off tho 😉
2010 can't come soon enough.

Nude sunbathing in public is illegal in the USVI. Your best bet for nude sunbathing in the USVI will be your villa. If you want nude beaches, you might St. Martin.

dntw8up is correct about the illegality of public nudity/sunbathing. Little Magens is no exception. In any case, the walk down to it would probably be too strenuous for your wife.

Tho the above info. is correct, have you heard of anyone getting a ticket for this? I sure never have!
When going to little Magens, the workers come out to see if there are any nude bathers! NOSY, I say! I took my Dad and step Mom via boat so no nude bathing for us! Last time I went tho, I discovered an old sailboat that sunk most likely due to a hurricane, it was fun snorkeling around it! (tu) A very pretty spot.

Don't know of any tickets but over many years and as recently as last year that I know of, the VIPD has gone down to the beach and told people to put their clothes on, explaining that it's illegal. Compliance has been instantaneous but if a grouchy cop has had a bay day, best to be safe than sorry, especially when one is on vacation!

Haven't been recently but the path to Little Magens from Peterborg Road was still accessible about a year ago even with the construction project. The hike is a bit steep but short. You can swim/wade along the right side of Magens to get to Little Magens. Also an option is renting a kayak at Magens for a couple hours and paddling over to Little Magens.
