We're heading back to paradise in a couple weeks. Someone told me about a sucluded beach next to Cinnamon Beach. I do not recall this beach. I was told if you walked to the end of the beach, to the right, there will be a trail thru the trees that takes you to "Little Cinnamon". Is this true? I seem to recall there are some large boulders at the end of the beach and we have never seen a trail. Does anyone know about this? Thanks.
If you're looking at the water, you would go left to the end. Then it's a short hike/scramble to Little Cinnamon. Make sure to wear something on your feet. (other than flip/flops) But don't tell anyone else about it, it's a "secret" beach. 😉
Wow...thanks Mango. Is it a nice little beach? Everyone told us to goto Honeymoon beach last year. It was nice but not breath-taking like so many other beaches on STJ. It was very nice to have the beach to ourselves for most of the day tho!!! We wont tell anyone! Thanks again.
Little Cinnamon Beach is awesome. We were there in February. We got married on Cinnamon Beach on a Tuesday and then returned on Friday just to revisit the scene and saw this deserted beach off to the left. We decided to venture to it. It's a very short walk to the left of Cinnamon Beach, on the beach walk past all the campsites and you'll find a very small trail, it's rough in a few spots so make sure you do have footwear, I did it in flip-flops no problem. Once you get there it's breathtaking and sooooooooo secluded. We brought a soft-sided cooler with some beer and lunch and we had the entire beach to ourselves all day........nobody around. The snorkeling isn't fantastic, as a matter of fact we got scared out of the water when we saw a shark approach but we just enjoyed the tranquil private beach we called our "own". Happy Trails....
Thanks Jill. We got married last June on Truck Beach at sunset. We'll check out little Cin on our 1st annver. return trip!
Watch out for the propellor of an old cessna that crashed there. All that is left is the engine and half the prop. Its almost on the shore, in about 6 feet of water on the far right of the beach. Some stupid tourist book published this as a cool snorkel, well its not, its just a tiny engine. Problem is you will occasionally see some snorkelers searching for this thing.
Quite funny to when they finally find it.
My son and I "bumped" into the wreck when we were there. He had a great time making up all kinds of stories about it. It was further from shore back then.
