If you are in St.thomas, KMart would be a good place to go to. Another one would be Cost-U-Less. Both have very good prices.

virtually every grocery store will have beer, wine and liquor. don't know where you are staying, but if near red hook, marina market has a good selection of spirits--as well as great deli sandwiches.

On STT, I think KMart at Tutu has the best selection and lowest prices.

This is true but frankly you are not going to spend a great deal more in the grocery store (except Pueblo) for what you want to keep in your room for making drinks. When you decide to go shopping for the take home stuff a trip to K-mart is definitely in order. The prices, by the way, are about 50 cents less on most liquor at Food Center vs. Marina Mart. Stay away from Pueblo. I can buy a bottle of Cruzan Rum cheaper at the corner market/gas station than at Pueblo.

I know! Isn't that ridiculous?!? $5 for a bottle of Cruzan at Pueblo! That's freakin' highway robbery! I'll stick with the $3 at K-Mart!!

Marty,
Alton, IL. When my husband went up to visit the kids they immediately called and said "Send Rum and Cigs!". Cruzan was $22 and, get this, Paradise was $15!

Yep Marty!! Now why didn't you warn me 'bout that!!
I did have to 'special order' the Cruzan Rum from the local liquor store where my son's girlfriend works, & it still cost me $18!! (& it will make sure she still works!!)

So, is there a mail order rum place down there?!??!

Cigs...well IMO, I don't smoke & I refused to bring back cigs for my kids who SHOULDN'T be smoking anyways!! Thank God I got to use my spending money on nice things for the kids instead!!

Hello Sitter,

Its illegal to ship alcohol via USPS. 🙁

I believe FedEx &/or UPS will accept/ship some types of alcohol but only to some states where local regulations allow. I had looked this up last year (for wine) and I thought shipping was allowed to AK, CA, DC, HI, ID, IL, IA, LA, MO, NE, NV, NM, ND, OR, WA, WV, WI, WY... but then I found on another site (for rum) that all states are ok except Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Tennessee and Utah... UPS & FedEx consider the USVI international, so the shipping from here is high. I found a link from Cruzanrum.com to a site that sells its product. It was around $14 for the bottle of dark rum, $16 for shipping to the states. The site is http://www.internetwines.com/spirits-rumtemplate-vi.html

Try Schooner Bay Market Place. They have a large selection of liquor, rum, beer, and wine, plus all of your grocery needs.

That is correct, each is allowed 6, but one of them must be BOTTLED in the VI, such as Cruzan, Southern Comfort, etc. But, most opt for Cruzan because of it's excellent uality and low price. Paradise is bottled in KY, so make sure you read the label!

What about A H Rise on St. Thomas? How are their prices campared to KMart? When we were there last spring I shopped there and thought the prices were good. But, maybe not as good as I thought. I recall buying a Ltr of Absolut for $9.95, back home it was $20 for .750 Ltr.

AH Riise is OK, but K-Mart and Cost-U-Less are the best.
