Where is the best place on St John to load up on liquor to have packaged to bring back to NY? Am I better off waiting until I leave and purchase it at the duty free at the airport? Thanks
Try K-Mart on St. Thomas. There's one at Havensight and another mid-island. Their price on Cruzan is $2.89 a bottle! The airport's price for that same bottle was $8. K-Mart will also give/sell you a carrier box that holds up to six bottles. Make sure one of those is a VI produced liquor and you can bring the full six. They will check to see that you did buy a VI produced bottle at the airport! And, you'll probably get in trouble if you don't fill it with the full six bottles 😉
