I see that there will be Latin/Calypso music tonight at Lionel Roberts Stadium, but I can't seem to locate it on any map. Is it recommended, or is it bedlam?
To get to Lionel Roberts Stadium take the waterfront road and turn north at the light on Hospital Gade. That is the light between the parking lot (Carnival Village) and the Criminal Justice Center. Travel through the next light until reach a stop sign. This is tricky but you will see the stadium to your right front. Parking is not plentiful and you may have to park away from the stadium. I would walk close to people heading to the stadium, be part of the group as it were. Some people don't like the atmosphere. The seats closest to the stage are uncover but there is a covered area. When I go there I usually walk around or stand where I can see clearly with the obligatory Cruzan and coke. There are booths there that sells lots of drinks and local foods. The music and performances there will not be as smooth as you are used to but it will give you a real taste of Island life that many visitors do not get. Let me know if you go.
