in the paper today they said they found a lion fish near waterlemon cay, bad, bad, they eat little fish like popcorn, are very poisonous and bread like crazy, bad news, they could kill 80 percent of the reef fish.
That's awful, I just finished reading an article on this yesterday. They actually did genetic testing and feel they are from the Pacific via the aquarium trade (either careless throwing of fish in the Florida waters or hurricane damage to aquariums.) Time for spear fishing if you ask me!!

I will help,, we spearfish there, and I will kill every one I see.. And I will pass on the info to others there. I heard you can eat them,, lion sandwich.. The rest we can burn at the beach..
I also heard Lion Fish are tasty. Maybe one restaurant on St John could put a bounty on Lion Fish so they can add them to the menu. (tu)

MR Redeye - Even possesing a speargun in the National Park is prohibited and a hefty fine - there will be no spearfishing for you.
Exit - they (The National Park Service) need to review their policy and come up with a plan to deal with Lionfish.
They need to allow spearfishing, but only for these lionfish. These things need to be stopped. They will do more damage to the reefs than man.
