Hi again! I have just received an email from one of my friends that he is booking the Limnos for a trip to BVI's. Can anyone give me any insight as to what to expect. I believe we are doing The Baths, Caves and I'm not sure what else. Thanks, again. Only 6 more days to go!!

Hi Doris -

I been on the Limnos trip you describe...

Starts in St. Thomas - Stop at Westin St John to pick up additional passengers...there were approx 20-25 people on our trip. Fairly large power catamaran...with bathrooms, etc.

Cruise north side of Tortola around to Virgin Gorda. Stopped at pier in town to clear customs...we got off and the hustled us on to taxi's for ride to baths for exploring, swimming, beach etc. (Sometimes they take the boat to the Baths but for some reason we did the taxi thing - don-t know why). After while we taxied back to the boat.

Then cruised to Norman Island...for snorkling off the Caves at Norman Island. Pretty good.

Somewhere along the way we had lunch...sandwich type stuff and rum frinkds and beer back to St. John/St Thomas.

We had fun.

Enjoy.

We did the trip a couple of years ago. I agree with Bob but there were a few negatives.
1) The noise - we're used to a nice quiet day of sailing.
2) When you go to the Baths - there is a hike down to the beach that they didn't warn anyone about (it isn't that bad but if there were any elderly people they would have a problem) - what you bring down to the baths you had to keep with you or leave it on the beach while you hiked and climbed - NOT ENOUGH TIME THERE

Other than that it was a fun trip. We would really like to spend more time there some day. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for all the information. I'm sure we will enjoy this trip since it will be our first time to BVI.
