*In 1989 my husband & I stayed at the Limetree Beach hotel on St. Thomas. I've been trying to find the hotel, to make reservations for March 2004. The only property I find that resembles it is now a timesharing. It is simply called Limetree Beach. Is this the same one & if so is there a possibility of renting a week in March?
Thanking you in advance for all your help.
Sincerely'
Christine

its now called Bluebeards beach club. They tore down the old buildings a few years ago and built new ones.

Contrary to Wake Up's perceptions, the old Limetree buildings were not torn down, merely "dressed up" a bit as Bluebeard's Beach Club. It's still a very laid back, low-key kind of hidden little piece of paradise. If you go to the timeshare owners' message board at www.bluebeards.net you can post a request to see if anyone has a rental available for your selected timeframe. You can often (but not always) rent a timeshare unit from an owner for a lot less than the cost of staying at a hotel or resort.

If you can not find someone willing to "rent" their week there is always the opportunity to rent from the company. We stay every year and love how private it is.
