Hello Laurie,

Limetree is somewhat close to Marriott; not quite walking distance. Morningstar is a nicer beach, it is larger. While it has small pebbles in the water making wading less of an option then at some other beaches on St. Thomas, Limetree's beach/water area is somewhat rocky so the conditions at Morningstar are still better for swimming. Limetree is great for just relaxing on the sand & for watching the sunset. Both have chairs. Not sure about the snorkel gear. Marriott's properties have several bars/restaurants both beachside and in the hotel. I have been to Limetree and found the restaurant/bar open sometimes and closed somtimes - not sure on its current status.
