Anyone have any words to share about this place? Does it have a big enough selection that I can avoid having to go to Cruz Bay altogether?

I was there a few days ago and was impressed. It is very clean and there seems to be a great selection. Dolphin Market in Cruz Bay offers less, but Star Fish in Cruz offers a bit more. I think you will find most of what you need at Lilly's. It will be worth not traveling back to Cruz for the supplies you need.

PS..Hope you get a chance to meet Lilly. Cute.

Lily's wasn't yet open when we were last there, but between the Love City and Calabash Boom markets, we didn't find it necessary to rely on Cruz Bay groceries. With the addition of Lily's, I'd guess you'll do fine doing your shopping in Coral Bay.

Where exactly is Lilly's? We stay in Coral Bay every year but this is the first I've heard of it. Any info?

Lily's is across the road from Island Blues in the new mini-mall. They opened while we were there in the last half of May. Very clean and bright. Nice selection of wines if you're into that sort of thing (we aren't). Their deli case wasn't yet fully stocked when we left but it looked as those they would have a nice selection of meats and cheeses. Prices were comparable to Starfish and I even found a few things that were less expensive. It's only 1/3 to 1/2 the size of Starfish but I'm sure we could have provisioned ourselves from Lily's if we hadn't chosen to drive into Cruz Bay to Starfish. A very nice addition to the Coral Bay area!

Now that I think about it, it wasn't open in Feb. when we were there but going to soon. Can't wait to try it when we go back next Feb!! Sounds yummy! Thanks!! We will look forward to having some snacks from there.

We were there in June...it's a very nice store but pricey. I guess every market on STJ is pricey tho.

Thanks for the tip on wine. We are in to that and Lilly's won't be far from where we are staying next year.

It would be great if those of you who will be visiting STJ in the coming months and shopping in the grocery stores might note the prices of a few items, especially eggs, milk, bread, lettuce, Heineken, Cruzan - you know, staples...LOL.

Then we could compare the different items at the various markets on STJ and STT. Maybe you could just save your itemized receipt and include the prices in your trip report.

Islander has grocery carts for St Thomas, St John and St Croix listed above under Moving Guide- Cost of Living. I notice, Islander, that it was updated in 2004, however. 🙂

Y'know what they say: Bring half the clothes and twice the money!

I have been shopping at Lily's for the past two weeks. There is an excellent assortment of food there. However, if you want more than fresh chicken I would suggest that you stock up in Cruz Bay. There were some pieces of frozen fish. There are cold cuts and cheeses, lots of wine choices and fresh produce. However some it is left in the coller even though it has passed its prime. Some the prices are a little higher than Love City. I go back ad forth between the two. I think that in the near future they will have more fresh meats.

Bluewater....I spent $10 for a 1/2 gallon of milk and a box of Frosted Flakes. By the way...Cruzan is $7.99 there!!!! LOL
