Was wondering if the lighted boat parade was view able from the Marriott Frenchman's Reef or is it only around the Crown Bay Marina area?
only 7 more days till arrival....already packed
It's already come and gone - November 14th.
Thanks for the info, I guess the St Thomas Source is wrong. It said the parade was on December 13th at 6 and emerging from East Gregory channel and I wasn't sure what end they meant.
My bad! December 13 it is. Whether or not you'll see it from the Reef depends on where you're located there but get up high enough and you should have a decent view!
One of the best places to view the lighted boat parade is from the Charlotte Amalie harbor apron. The boat parade event goes along with the Miracle on Main Street event, which is worth attending. All the shops downtown stay open with special sales; choirs walk around caroling, bands and dance groups perform in the park and along Main Street, food vendors, craft vendors, lots of people celebrating the holidays.
Thanks Islander.
We were worried about available parking in Town. We'll figure something out.
three more days...

If you're staying at the Reef, check with them to see whether their little "Reefer" ferry which goes back and forth to the waterfront will be making any special trips. They usually stop operating after nightfall but it's worth asking.
