Quick questions

We will want to pick up alcohol when we get there. Beer, rum, mixers perhaps wine.

Where is the closest place to get these items in Cruz Bay? How far of a walk from the Ferry Dock?

Someone said duuty free, but we are flying the States to VI - so I am not sure that applies to us.

Someone also suggested Starfish market, but I don't know where it is.

And any Maho people - is it hard to find the Frett's shuttle?

Thanks!

When you arrive to the right on the corner of the street is an informational booth that can give you a map of Cruz Bay. Be careful though they will try to book you for time at the Westin by offering a Day's pass in turn to try to sell you a time share. 🙂 That will be the best way to tell you to get to the Market. That way you can actually see it yourself on paper. Much easier.

Second Frett is on Island Time. You should call Maho and ask when they expect him to be in Cruz Bay that night. Sometimes you might have to wait for him. There are others that will take you there, just make sure they will take you all the way in to Maho Bay Camps. It may cost a little more too. Probably about $30 or less for two of you.

The alcohol is duty free. Remember VI is a Us territory and it is considered to just be traveling to another state. There are other areas you can get the alcohol from to the right at Wharfside when you arrive. There is a really neat spice shop upstairs on your immediate right. I think they sell alcohol. Don't qoute me though. It may just be the little bottles.

Have a great trip! We leave Weds Morning and I can't wait!!!!!

They do sell rum and other essentials at Maho. Sparkys is right across from the ferry dock, to the left of JJ's Texas Coast Cafe. Unless you get in late, they are usually open until 6 or so. Another option, depending on how much you are lugging, is to buy booze at the duty free at the airport. It is right next to the snack bar and bath rooms near the luggage carousel. You can get your bottles put in a box. You could get your non-Cruzan liquor there. The Cruzan at Maho is reasonably priced.

Have fun!! I was talking to my 10 year old about our March trip tonight. She wants to head to Maho for breakfast one morning. She loves the pancakes and the view from the food pavillion. With any luck they'll have some live music at Maho while you are there.

Cheers, RickG

Ah I forgot the airport. That is probably your best bet.

Rick tell your daughter she is right!! They have great pancakes and fresh fruit. Tell her I will eat some for her next week. My 5 year old son is looking forward to that too. He was just talking about them. He snuck a piece to one Bannanaquit Bird and then we had about 20 at our deck. It was very memorable for him, all over the pancakes!!!

Thanks, Jen
