Hello from hot Houston Tx. My wife and I are looking into staying at Lavender Hill and we are looking for some feedback. We got married on Trunk Bay 5 years ago and are ready to come back. We have stayed at Gallows Point and the Westin. Enjoyed both but looking for something a little cheaper and Lavender Hill fits the bill. Pictues on website look good but you know how that goes sometimes. Anyway we really liked Gallows a lot as you can walk to town and we loved the views. Looks like Lavender Hill is behind Gallows Point. Is this correct? Feedback anyone? Thanks,David

Looks like I can chime in on this question.

We stay at Lavender Hills when we go down in May every year. We love how close it is to Cruz Bay as it is only a 2 minute walk with no need to worry about parking or who is going to drive home after the happy hours. The prices are very reasonable and the staff always seems to go above and beyond if you have any special request or need help. We have stayed in units 1W, 2W, and 5W.
1W is located on the first floor with a wrap around deck. Nice view of Cruz Bay.

2W is located on the 2nd floor with a wrap around deck. Great view of Cruz Bay.

5W is on the 2nd floor and has a deck on the front and a deck off of the bedroom overlooking the beautiful pool area. You get more of a breeze in 5W and we never had the AC on for the 9 days we where there.

1W, 2W, and 5W all have 1 bedroom, fully appliance kitchens, and living room with cable. I do believe they have a WIFI connection also but we never bring stuff like that down to St. John. All units have beach chairs and coolers for the days you spend at the beach.

Lavender Hills has a full laundry room that comes in very handy when packing light for your trip. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained as is the surrounding grounds. There is a cemetery out front but it adds to the character that St. John offers.

If you are a member of Facebook they have a page on there also where people post photos. I have put a few up there myself.

If you are looking to stay at a place that offers close proximity to Cruz bay, clean and at a decent price then you can’t go wrong with Lavender Hills. We love staying there and will be doing so again next year.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. Yeah,I have seen the cemetery as we have stayed at Gallows Point on our honeymoon. Lavender Hill looks very similar but prices are better. Everthing you mentioned is very important to us also. Walking distance to everything, laundry room etc. Thanks also for input on the different rooms. That helps make our decision on which room to stay at. We have been to the Islands many times but it has been 5 years since the last visit. That is way too long. Thanks again!
