I'm having my usual "it's summer so I should be in STJ" attack and I am wondering... Is there anywhere to book a last minute condo or villa where owners would rent at a fantastic rate rather than have their property sit empty for an upcoming week?
If you go on travelocity or site59.com.......they sometimes have unreal deals on last minute travel to St Thomas.....so you could get close, but most don't cater to STJ much.......

It also depends were you're coming from. Someone from NY is going to get a much better deal then someone from KY.
We just booked a villa and they give 10% off at most places within 60 days of travel. You might be able to find an even better deal if you're only a week or two out.
bride & I are last minute travelers (fly nonrev/stdby) and have had good luck during our 5 stays with cloud 9 villas. their site is http://www.cloud9villas.com. we found c9, sundance & moonsong all clean and well equipped. we never booked more than 10 days in advance and have had discounts from 20% to 40%. they post their discounts on villa availabilty page. if you see one of their villas that works for your short term sch, call marcey appel, she's a super manager. owners of villas live on stj except for summers when they go back to states, so you have good response to any issues that arise.

I have to agree with PAPABOU and add my kudos to Marci Appel. I used to book all my stateside travel with her before moving to FL...she is totally awesome and she knows her stuff! She will not lead you astray...
