Yes, me again, this question is not related to 7/5, but 7/17. We're doing 2 cruises, back to back, out of San Juan, and have two stops at STT.

There is a possibility of a larger sized group (6-8?!?) heading for STJ that day. I'm the only one who's been there before. We've discussed the possibility of getting a rental as opposed to taking a cab so that we might make multiple stops at beaches/lunch, etc. I realize that officially many of the car rentals don't do 1 day rentals, but it sounds like it will be slow enough at that time there will likely be availibility.

My question is related to larger vehicles than the typical jeep or whatever that holds 4. On our recent trip we saw some obvious visitors like ourselves who had a safari cab, or whatever you call them, pickup with benches in the back like the cab drivers use, that had more capacity, so I assume it was a rental. Anyone know who might rent those? Possibility of getting one for the day, and rough cost. Curious if it would make more sense than getting 2 cars. Also saw cabs who had obviously been retained, drive down to Coral Bay for lunch, for example, and wait around while their fare shopped/lunched. Any idea on cost for that?
