I read somewhere on the net that the really steep part of the notorious Lameshur beach road has been paved. Is this true? It sure would help the tires on the rentals!!

I don't know about Lameshur's Road. I know I heard that the road that accesss the Reef Bay trail had been partially paved. Lets see if someone else knows more of both.

I hope someone knows. It's an interesting trip getting to the beach on that steep road. We are going to St. John in March and are hoping to visit Lameshur again this year. Last year during our visit they were doing a lot of improvements to the roads. We stay in Coral Bay, and there seemed to be road improvements everywhere. I hope they don't get rid of the "clam dip" in Coral bay though. I get a chuckle each time we drive over that.
