My husband and I are coming to St. Thomas for the first time the week of Labor day. We will be staying at Sapphire Beach to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I was just curious as to any events that my be planned for Labor day.
This is not a big holiday down here. The locals get the day off but it is not as big as say emancipation day. Everything should be open. I assume that you mean Sapphire Beach Resort. Just check that you are not in Building A as there were some problems with the building that will be rectified soon. If you are booked with Antillies they will place you in another building.
Enjoy the beach. The weather looks pretty good. 10 days out.

Thanks! We are really excited about this trip. The only worry we have is hurricanes at this point. I read on this site about the fire in building A. We are actually in building B. I figured Labor day would be low key and that is fine with us. We want to get out and enjoy the beaches and a few of the hot spots. Mostly we are coming to relax and have down time. I have been reading this site for about a month and have really enjoyed all the information you guys provide. Maybe I will get brave a post a trip report.
