I have rented this villa for an April trip. Any feedback?

paula,

haven't stayed at la barracuda but have viewed on websites and from street (upper Tamarind). stayed at Sundance (10/04) and Moonsong (12/04) which are both near la bar. convenient yet private location with great sunset and st thomas light views. only negatives from fall 04 was construction noise that carried across water of the salt pond between choc hole and hart bay below this area. i believe most of outside (noisy) work has been completed. also watch out for that first hardleft turn going up (& coming down) tamarind, its a bitch!

one sugggestion (unless your group contains party animals who love bar hopping and will have designated driver for trip home), try grilling out, dining on deck and enjoy views one evening early in trip. you may find you would rather spend days around island(s) and evenings at villa enjoying views. both starfish market and simple feast are on way to villa from cruz bay and have great gourmet selections expensive but much cheaper than evening dining out.

enjoy!
