Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!
I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?
ccd
Now THAT was priceless!!! I'm soooooo laughing.
If anybody hasn't heard his song, you should google it...."Have another beer in Mexico"...it really is a fun song.
He's not all bad you know. And I don't like it when people make fun of his height. WHO really cares????? Well, I do.
I don't care if you're short, tall, fat, skinny....if you have songs that I like, then I like them.
I grew up with Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Eagles, etc. If the music sounds good to me, then I listen to it.
I'm a big Toby Keith fan. If you're not then that's ok...but that's my personal preference.
Also bugs me about the"bald" thing. He's talented and adorable, and I hope he has the good and peaceful home life he deserves.
And, as much fun as it's been to be a little crazy on this thread, don't buy one of Weary's "Star Home Maps" !!!
Connie,
You touched my heart,......I'm running out the door to buy my 1st Kenny CD!!
since he's no longer on island so much then how about something saying
'no no shoes,no shirt,no chesney'
seriously,5 days ago i had no idea who this lad was! you learn so much on these boards!
lol, dream...i'm glad that I've made a difference in this world
ccc....you have a little bit of rebel in you :o)
I was thinking more of
"No Chesney, No Stalkers, No Problems"
LMFAO..
Well, since this is all about Kenny, I just have to share a couple pics from last night's concert in Columbus. That's my sister with me (I'm the one in the hat). It was easy to see why he is a repeat entertainer of the year!
He most definitely could make any tractor look sexy!!
thats a sweet pirate guitar 🙂
i guess there could be a little bit of a rebel (i sometimes run with scissors, yar i'm hardcore!!) but in a good way!
Mountaineer girl. I see you're wearing a Soggy Dollar Bar...next time we want to see a Kenny Chesney t-shirt...
Connie, bought my first Kenny Chesney Tee shirt last night !
yeah I definitely loved his guitar!
If any of you have seen his "You Save Me" video - you'll see that he is definitely better looking with a hat on! Also, I heard the girl in his video is his newest girlfriend. She looks Mexican or Latino or whatever, and is VERY pretty. way better than RZ!
BTW - his opening song was Beer in Mexico!! its a great song.
here's another good pic
Nice looking sisters 🙂
Down boy, get that great promotions brain off the contents of the t shirts and onto the slogans.
Leave my birthday twin alone. Somebody had to say it!! LOL
RL
Short comment to Ronnie and Jane. She said sisters and I said nice looking sisters. So why oh why??
I'll call you next week and we can sing Happy Birthday to each other.
My birthday is Monday and my oldest son in the Airforce has his on Tuesday,
Wish we could join you to sing along.
(If birthday wishes really come true,...well, I'll certainly give it a shot and ask for the look of the contents!)
Happy Birthday you two.
Mountaineer G. Nice pics! I have to wait until August to see him unless hubby comes through with Philly tics. Maybe by than the "t-shirts " will be agreed on & printed. LOL I vote for "She thinks my island's sexy"!
Mountain girl,
Great pics. Your sister looks like a friend of mine in Grand Junction, named Bernie.
Cocosmom,
I also think "She thinks my island's sexy" is a winner. Except for one thing, I would only enjoy seeing it on a guy as a tee.
Just a personal perference, I might add.
So I did a little research. I figured that if I'm really going to try to cash in on Kenny's popularity, I should have more info. On Wikipedia I learned that he has a degree in advertising from East Tennessee State, which I guess would prepare him pretty well for a career in show business.
Then I looked at what he has in his Store on his own site. Geez, he's got some things that i never would have thought of------a beach ball, a rain poncho, an iPod cover. I guess that advertising degree pays off.
He's got a lot of different shirts, but I thought the slogans proposed here were pretty unique, so would sell. He sells ball caps, but none of those big cowboy hats. I thought that was funny because in EVERY photo in his gallery, he's wearing one. In fact, there isn't any photo to be found without a hat. Has anyone ever seen him without a hat?
So I think that since he doesn't sell them, the idea of selling those big hats with slogans on them is a pretty good one.
So I still think that it would be possible to do okay with a combination of Kenny merchandise, selling the maps to Kenny-related sites on STJ and running a Kenny Tour in a safari truck. I don't know if there would be a big enough market to run a daily tour, but maybe once or twice a week. It would take time to get established, of course.
dreamconch,
you have a point, that shirt would only work for the guys 🙁
Weary,
His hat fell off at a concert I was at. He was right on the edge of the stage & bent down to let the crowd rub his bald head. Not a good look.
