Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!

I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?

Yeah - how come, Promo?

Here's Kenny's tour schedule for you Chesney-heads ( doesn't have the same ring as Parrothead, does it?)

http://www.kennychesney.com/tour.html

Don't grieve, Eagle - he's not playing Russellville, Arkansas either....

He played in at the Pepsi Center in 2005, I made my decision to take a job in STT when I saw Ivan's face on the Jumbotron...realized I could have that view of White Bay on my weekends. It was the first time I ever heard "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". I'm a fan of his island music and "storytelling" ballads, not country. Also played this June at the new soccer venue.

No, we don't have sax concerts - we leave that for the Yanks....and please, New York, keep 'em - free and clear. Could ya come get Roger, too? He was pardoned, so he's fine and upstanding - why, Bubba himself pardoned him! That little stint in the pen was just a misunderstanding....and pick up Hughie and Tony Rodham as long as you're making the trip...even Hill says Hugh has made "huge political mistakes"....oops, that's "terrible misjudgements". Hazelnuts, anyone?

Not sure where all of them are hanging these days....I can't imagine it would be Arkansas, Bubba and The Hill aren't here to protect 'em anymore....

Am i glad i'm gone for a week or what???? Becky, you've done your job, congratulations. At least I have a week of relaxation where I don't have to figure what some people are saying in their posts.

And don't worry...when this thread is done, everybody knows that the KC questions will come up again.

Bon voyage, Connie - perhaps I'll figure out what my job was to begin with while you're gone...if you come back saying you want to wear a thong for the rest of your life, we'll know your trip was a success.

You mean we're gonna end the thread? Why? My poll is still out there and the clock is ticking.

Well,
It does get kind of weird on here, sometimes.
Of course, I have nothing to do with that. I'm never weird.
Some of the fun loving posters gave up a few pages back when, they thought they were committing some kind of 'Kenny-sin' for keeping the connection going.
Hope they come back.

Well, gee....once I got into the spirit of things, it sure has been a blast! "Kenny-sin"? Why did the fun-lovers leave when they have new converts? And Connie and I were having a great time, I will miss her during her self-imposed vacation/exile from the board....

Don't forget to get on the pre-sale list for Just Who I Am - Poets and Pirates on 9/11 ... oooo.....9/11? Wow....

I got a kick out of the board. Just finding it and going through it made me laugh so I had to jump right in..

I saw Kenny this Friday night- stood right in front of him during thje whole show. He sings great and runs aroud on the state but he does not give any emotions away. I assume that is his way od dealing with press or gossip hounds.

He did sign autogrpahs at the end and actually walked up to the Mike and stood there for a moment looking to the side and I decided once he turned is head that I would hand him an embellushed purse I made with his picture on it.
He took it,looked at it and signed KC. I told him I made but he gave no response to thant and went on to the next person.

Is he a kind of distant person in life or had I read him fwrong?

..and even though some of you locals hated this forum...let's bring it up again as it's much better than the current events! My daughter got VIP tickets to tonight Chesney concert in STL! She's there on business and was offered them last night free of charge. I'm so jealous and told her to take pics!

Bummer is that she has no cowboy hat, tank top or short-shorts. Darn. Guess, casual business attire will have to do.

I thought we were all being so,..."shallow" to have fun here, according to some VI purists.
When things got serious about the "other thing", we were told we were
sticking our noses where they didn't belong.
Me, who is hardly ever conflicted about things, is feeling pretty conflicted.
Good try though.

To be in a town on business and to be able to get such great seats to kennys concert, you were very lucky. I would enjoy seeing your pictures if you would not mind posting them. I was in Raleigh last weekend, but my seats were not that close. Someone at the concert said they saw some people from Woodys on the gator riding around, but I didnt see them. Anyone know anything about this? Kenny was sick in Raleigh, but he still gave a great concert.

Hey, I just heard that the local Annual Blue Marlin Tournament Organization will try to get Kenny here for next year's event. They want him to be attraction for their "Carribean Night" August of 2008 at Yacht Haven Grande.

Totally off topic..but have to share. Seeing Keith Urban tonight! Next best concert to Kenny ( which is next Sunday!)
Bad news, the concert is inside in DC, no tailgaiting ( unless you want to do it underground in the parking garage 🙂 . So now Cruzan tonight!
