Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!

I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?

I think she means the Islands, not the people.

At least I hope, because I was having fun here and would hate to leave.

I was actually enjoying the thread and my comment was meant to convey that. Sorry that my attempts at humor don't fly with all of you. I'll try to be less ironic and less subtle. Maybe I do need to rely on the emoticons.

I was feeling a bit emotional.
All you virgins cover your eyes!!
Was talking about those lovely isles.
Sorry, didn't mean to cause chaos. I took the needling to be slash and burn. Silly me.

In case anyone cares 😉 I have to add my $.02 like Mountaineer...I went to the KC concert Saturday in Dallas (Frisco). It was a blast!

We got rained on like you wouldn't believe. No, not rained on, DRENCHED. We were sitting in the seats just soaking wet, covering our cups so our beers wouldn't get watered down. We were soaked. My husband Brian, who is a musician himself and doesn't really like country music, whined and complained and was just all around annoying. I told him to go buy a beer and get his drunk on. 😉

We got there around 7, and it rained straight through until nearly 9, when KC came on.

At this show, it was Taylor Swift (she sucked!!), Sugarland (very good!) and Kenny. Once Kenny came on and everyone was dancing and singing, Brian was in a better mood. Could be because the rain stopped, could be because he'd had a few beers. 😉

I've seen lots of great shows (Sting, Dave Matthews Band, etc.) and while those are some of my faves, Kenny's concert was by far the most fun! Just a huge party! Even though we were soaking wet and freezing, it was great! I hope he comes back to Dallas next year!

I don't know if he'll admit it, but Brian was having a good time. He said one guy in the men's room was saying how the guys shouldn't complain about the rain because it just made the show one big wet t-shirt contest. *rolling my eyes*

I will say this...the concert was very good in that there was no cursing, no political bantering, etc. Just music and fun. People of all ages could go and be fine. I saw lots of kids.

Anyway... 🙂 Back to your crazy talk. :b

Gari Ann,

Since we know Promo hasn't been a virgin for awhile, I was glad to know that Ron isn't, just in case you end up sending pictures of all those real "Soggy" tees. I'm pretty sure they won't be booing and hooing, and getting all emotionally challenged about it either.
I, myself, will just have to hide my eyes.

Is Soggy Ts the same as Saggy Ts? Is there a Saggy Dollar Bar? I heard there was - and it is for retired strippers.

We all really just rent a HUGE villa, invite us all and play Kenny Chesney all week long..drive some of you crazy (although I think most of you are already). I can't hear Kenny on the radio without thinking of this message board.

Just heard "Have another beer in Mexico" and I don't care what anybody says...if you can't tap your toes to that, then you have no rhythm at all.

Anybody have any extra tickets to the Philly concert?

Beer in Mexico is what he opened with in columbus - and everyone went crazy. Well, everyone was already pumped from the ACDC song they played while he came out and we watched on the jumbotron the "Kenny cam". It was really great, but then again, its the first concert I've been to in - well, many years! 🙂

He sang "Lay you Down" (a Conway Twitty song) and THAT was great too.

And yes, it was a good clean concert - old people and young both.

another pic...

Wow, you guys all really rock!! You know how to lighten up the day!!

Great pics every single one of them!!!! This last photo makes a big statement as far as where KC's heart is. No secret.

Poor Lex. Must of felt like I was sending him off the plank into shark infested waters.

Mercury Retrograde I'm guessing.

All I had to do is look at the first thread on this...didn't even read the next or the countless others following. Jesus God, leave this man alone.

Ah Bert, don't be upset. It is all in fun!

So my husband knows a guy who knows a guy that works with KC. It is less than 6 degrees of separation. Do I win anything?

🙂

Ok, I don't get this. If you don't want to read it or talk about it, skip the post. Some of us are having fun, and some of us are talking about the show. What is the big deal with that?

Love the pic Mountaineer! I loved the AC/DC Shook Me All Night Long before the show started! Everyone was dancing and singing! 🙂
